Uses
- This medicine is used to treat impotence.
- Vardenafil improves response to stimulation.

DosingHow to take
- Take this medicine 60 minutes before sexual intercourse.
- Take this medicine with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Oral-disintegrating tablet: After opening, place on tongue and let dissolve. Do not take with water. Do not crush, break, or chew.
Missed Dose
- This medicine is taken on an as needed basis. Do not take more often than every 24 hours, unless instructed by healthcare provider.
Storage
- Store at room temperature.
- Protect from moisture. Do not store in a bathroom or kitchen.

Safety
Warnings
- This medicine does not mix well with some medicines. Serious reactions may occur. Check all medicines with healthcare provider.
Avoid
- This medicine is not for use in females.
- If you have an allergy to vardenafil or any other part of this medicine.
- Tell healthcare provider if you are allergic to any medicine. Make sure to tell about the allergy and how it affected you. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other symptoms involved.
- If you use drugs called "poppers" like amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite.
- If you have been told not to have sex by healthcare provider.
- StaxynT:
- If you are not able to digest fructose.
Precautions
- There are different brands of this medicine. One brand cannot safely be exchanged for another. Any change must be directed by healthcare provider.
- If you have bleeding problems, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have any eye problems, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have heart disease, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have high blood pressure, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have kidney disease and are on dialysis, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have liver disease, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have low blood pressure, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have PKU, talk with healthcare provider. Some products do contain phenylalanine.
- If you have had a stroke within the last 6 months, talk with healthcare provider.
- If you have ulcer disease, talk with healthcare provider.
- Check medicines with healthcare provider. This medicine may not mix well with other medicines.
- Do not take with other medicines used to treat change in sexual ability or desire.
- Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice.
- Avoid alcohol (includes wine, beer, and liquor).
- To protect against sexually-transmitted diseases, use a latex condom.
Side Effects
- Dizziness.
- Flushing. Wearing layers of clothes or summer clothes and cool environment may help.
- Headache.
- Belly pain or heartburn.
- Nasal congestion.
Monitoring
- Change in condition being treated. Is it better, worse, or about the same?
Contact a healthcare provider
- If you suspect an overdose, call your local poison control center or emergency department immediately.
- Signs of a life-threatening reaction. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue skin color; fits; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- Penile erection that lasts longer than 4 hours.
- Chest pain or pressure or fast heartbeat.
- Severe dizziness or passing out.
- Sudden change or loss of vision.
- Change in hearing.
- Any rash.
- No improvement in condition or feeling worse.
General Statements
- If you have a life-threatening allergy, wear allergy identification at all times.
- Do not share your medicine with others and do not take anyone else's medicine.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children and pets.
- Most medicines can be thrown away in household trash after mixing with coffee grounds or kitty litter and sealing in a plastic bag.

- Keep a list of all your medicines (prescription, natural products, supplements, vitamins, over-the-counter) with you. Give this list to healthcare provider (doctor, nurse, nurse practitioner, pharmacist, physician assistant).
